* The naming of recreation sites as “boat ramps” should be reconsidered to reflect the breadth of their qualities, rather than highlighting a singular amenity at a park site, preserve, or nature park. Concomitantly, there may need to be more amenities at boat ramps, including trash cans and picnic tables at a minimum. Additional amenities could include restrooms, pavilions, fishing line disposal tubes, water, and informative signage.
