Is that pipe supposed to be wallowing in water?
Is that end supposed to be in the water?
What about the obvious erosion?
Remember Sabal Trail is only burying its 36-inch pipe 36-inches deep most places.
Erosion could expose it and make it even more likely to corrode.

As our community begins the long path of recovery, WWALS Watershed Coalition extends deepest sympathy and condolences to those who have lost family, friends, possessions, and a sense of security in the recent storms and tornadoes.
The first two tornado fatalities were in Brooks County west of Barney,
with seven more in Cook County and two in Berrien County,
plus four in Dougherty County.
Lowndes County got off light this time, with nobody injured,
although there is extensive property damage in all these counties
and others.

It’s time to photograph and report all potential Sabal Trail violations after last night’s storm. Pipeline construction should stop until damage can be independently assessed. I-75 is shut down, and so should Sabal Trail be.
The sky was lit by lightning all night

I-75 is closed. What did that tornado do to the unfinished pipeline?
What will all this water and wind do to all the Sabal Trail pipe exposed
on top of the ground?
What about that frac-out and sinkhole at Sabal Trail’s Withlacoochee River drilling only a short way downstream?
What about Sabal Trail’s pipe going into that now probably waterlogged ream under the Suwannee River, or the Withlacoochee River South?

“We’re on for Monday morning! River excellent condition,”
says expedition leader Phil Hubbard, reporting from the Suwannee River just now.
“Maybe 2 feet higher. Flow is perfect,” he added.
Earlier he said helpfully, “I’m stopping at Hardee’s in Jasper to grab a biscuit around 9:15 if anyone needs help finding the launch site.”
About an essential outing ingredient, Gretchen Quarterman says: “I just baked bon-bons!”

With water still coming downstream from Hurricane Hermine and storms following,
expedition leader Phil Hubbard says:
I’m thinking looking at the weather forecast, the only safe call we can make today is to delay till Monday pend river level. The rain probability is actually higher on Sunday but looks good for Monday.
So we’re rescheduling Redoux Roline for 10 AM Monday morning September 5th 2016, still at Roline.
At lest now now we know the Suwannee River won’t be too low!

It looks like Hermine will have moved along east by Saturday, or at least by Sunday, which is the fallback date for the WWALS paddle outing this weekend from Redoux Suwannee River Roline to Cypress Creek. We won’t be able to tell for a day or so what the situation will be, but so far we’re still planning on Saturday morning. Expedition leader Phil Hubbard will make a determination before then.
