These pictures are of a dust storm that occurred earlier this year. The dust is from Bill Gates’ farms. Look closely, there is a power transmission tower in the picture.

Also, notice the farm field is plowed right up to the road. Florida Ag Best Management Practices require that the perimeter of fields have a border of permanent vegetation to reduce soil loss, filter runoff, wildlife habitat and equipment turning.

The BMPs also require the use of cover crops to reduce soil loss and to build organic matter in soil. These are just common since practices that should be employed not only for the good of the farm but for the environment as well.
