WWALS Venmo profile:
See also the WWALS goals and tax deductible contributions.
WWALS advocates for conservation and stewardship of the surface waters and groundwater of the Suwannee River Basin and Estuary, in south Georgia and north Florida, among them the Withlacoochee, Willacoochee, Alapaha, Little, Santa Fe, and Suwannee River watersheds, through education, awareness, environmental monitoring, and citizen activities, in more than thirty counties in south Georgia and north Florida.
- WWALS provides a volunteer water quality testing program with weekly reports on river water quality.
- WWALS provides water trails with road signs so paddlers know where to put in, at-water signs for how far to the next take-out, web pages for descriptions and water levels, and brochures and maps.
- WWALS supports solar power and promotes a Right to Clean Water in Florida and Georgia.
- WWALS publicizes sewage spills and tries to get them fixed.
- WWALS opposes trash in waterways by stopping fast food packaging in parking lots, through trash traps on creeks, and by cleanups.
- WWALS opposes titanium dioxide mining next to the Okefenokee Swamp, new phosphate mines, some sand mines, Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) export, the Sabal Trail pipeline, fracking, and Coal Ash.
- Join us on any of our paddle outings, cleanups, and hikes on rivers, lakes, sinks, springs, and swamps in the Suwannee River Basin, every month.

Goals
The WWALS Board is pursuing these goals:
- Education of general public about conservation and stewardship of WWALS watershed.
- Act as a knowledge resource about physical, biological and natural resources to, and about, our community.
- Engage with local agencies on routine water quality testing.
- Develop and maintain documentation relevant to our watershed.
- Identify and address threats to the WWALS Watershed.
- Engage our community in outdoor activities.
- Raise money to fund the organization on an ongoing basis.
In order to reach these goals your generous contribution will be used for the purchase of equipment, volunteer supplies, and legal fees, as well paying staff and assisting in presentations, reports and conferences to the community and training workshops for volunteers.
To support a paid executive director and to fully fund the Suwannee Riverkeeper®, we need to raise about $120,000 a year, about a third each from memberships, sponsors, and grants.
Your support of WWALS and its projects, events, and advocacy is greatly appreciated!
