WWALS has seven overarching goals, many about issues. Some of those issues, and some others, are described in sub-pages here.
WWALS is for:
- Rights to Clean Air, Water, and Land.
 - Solar power: we support it, but beware of wooded wetlands
 - Water Trails; see also Trails Committee.
 - Water Quality Testing; see also Testing Committee.

WWALS watches and often opposes:
- Valdosta (and other) Wastewater
 - Trash: cleanups are not enough
 - PFAS: They’re everywhere, they don’t break down naturally, and they cause disease: per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) “forever chemicals”
 - Corporate agriculture: land purchases and land use, including water withdrawals and pesticide and fertilizer runoff and leaching
 - So-called natural gas; see also the WWALS Watershed Issues Committee.
 - Mining:
 - Coal Ash
 - The Waycross Superfund mess
