Deadlines for Sabal Trail comments: Army Corps, FERC, Suwannee County

Due to widespread opposition to Sabal Trail’s invading fracked methane pipeline, the Corps extended its deadline 60 days, and FERC slipped a month. Deadlines coming up this week and next.

This Friday, December 11, 2015:
Deadline to comment to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
The Corps wants comments on cumulative effects, including from local governments and other organizations, as well as individuals. No Corps permit, no pipeline.

Tomorrow, Thursday, December 10, 2015:
9:30 AM at Live Oak City Hall, emergency Suwannee Board of County Commissioners meeting to approve a letter to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers before the Friday deadline.

Next Tuesday, December 15, 2015:
Suwannee County, Florida Board of Commissioners (SBOCC) to vote on resolution to to keep Sabal Trail out of Suwannee County and off of the Suwannee and Santa Fe Rivers

Deadline to comment to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)

And still no final order from the judge in WWALS v. Sabal Trail & FDEP. According to DOAH, that order should appear this week. Then there will likely be an appeal.
