Rescheduled: WWALS Water Trails at Southern Georgia Regional Commission Council 2015-09-24

Rescheduled from July, Paulk Vineyards WWALS Ambassador Dave Hetzel will speak about the Alapaha River Water Trail (ARWT), which is now looking to place signs and reprint brochures, and the Withlacoochee and Little River Water Trail (WRWT), whose Committee is looking for more members, at the Southern Georgia Regional Commission Council meeting September 24th in Pearson, Georgia.

When: 11AM Thursday September 24th, 2015

Where: Sports Complex, 786 E Austin Ave, Pearson, GA 31642
Google maps: 805 Co Rd 245, Pearson, GA 31642
31.292447, -82.841214.

Mayor Bettye Drayton/Williams told me Pearson is thinking of putting a sign at the road so people can find the place more easily.

We hear Satilla Riverkeeper Ashby Nix will speak about the Satilla River Water Trail (SRWT). The SRWT is an independent organization, and Satilla Riverkeeper is one of the organizations assisting it. This is different from the ARWT and WRWT, which are committee projects of WWALS.

After some confusion at the July meeting, we learned we were rescheduled for August. But it’s confirmed now for September.
