Kayakers needed to accompany swimmers –TCT7 2021-09-12

Kayakers wanted to volunteer to pace swimmers for the annual TCT7.

Kayakers will need to be there by 6:45 AM on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

There is the Lake Park 4-H Camp, 5000 4-H Club Road, Lake Park, GA US 31636, on the banks of Long Pond.

Anyone interested in volunteering to kayak can contact Andy Woods at (614) 312-9897.

They are expecting a huge turn out of swimmers since the event is going to be a qualifying event for local swim teams. Please see the following information from John Eunice, whose son the event memorializes.

Thank you for your support of the TCT7 Swim and the James Eunice Charity Fund. This year’s event is two weeks away and registration fees go up tomorrow, August 30th. The 2021 TCT7 Swim will feature an in-person event and a virtual event, and we would love for you to be a part again this year. The in-person event will be held the morning of September 12, with opening ceremonies for the swim event beginning at 7:30 AM. The one mile event will begin at 8 AM with the Captain Mark Weber 3.5 Mile Legacy Swim will begin at 8:03 AM. The 3.5 mile event will feature wave starts as was done in the 2019 event. Entrants will be grouped in waves based on their previous swim times for the 3.5 mile event or one mile event if they have not completed a 3.5 mile event previously. For virtual events, entrants can swim anytime the week of September 5th thru 12th.

We will not hold the dinner this year due to social distancing concerns, but will be open for entrants to pick up registration materials from noon to 3 PM on September 11th. All events will be held at Lowndes County 4-H Camp, 5000 4H Club Road, Lake Park, GA 31636. The attached brochure provides additional details.
