    2. Withlacoochee and Little River Water Trail Brochure: we have money to print one ($500 from Valdosta-Lowndes Tourism, and we can make up the difference).
    3. Paypal account.
    4. Fundraising strategy: as long as it takes to discuss it.
    5. An item needing a vote by the Board.
  7. Committee reports are appended to agenda, with items marked for discussion or vote included directly in the agenda.

  10. Events Committee: Needs a Chair
    1. Needs a chair, or separate committees for each event.
    2. 2017-10-12-15: Suwannee River Roots Revival at SoSMP
This was the first one at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SoSMP) that we tabled at last year. That went well. We ended up net positive, and it was great exposure. Especially if we can get the same spot between the two stages, we should do it again.
Vendor applications are not yet available.
      Who wants to help?
      Discuss canoe or kayak raffle.
    3. 2017-10-27-29: Hulaween at SoSMP
20,000 people, twice as big as Wanee, where we got a table off to the side, with much less traffic. Probably worth doing Hulaween for the exposure, and we may be net positive with some new ideas about how to get more traffic, with walkable signs and banners, maybe some announcements, and small things we can sell: for Hulaween, probably wouldn’t hurt if the item glowed or moved.
No nonprofit discount on Hulaween vendor applications, but we can ask; due by 21 Aug 2017.
We need volunteers, especially younger ones for Hulaween.
      Discuss canoe or kayak raffle.
    4. Songwriting Contest
Everybody (throughout the world) knows one song about the Suwannee River, and some of us know one more. Who knows any song about the Withlacoochee, Little, Willacoochee, Alapaha, or Alapahoochee? Let’s have a songwriting contest!
Need musicians, radio host, date, time, and place.
  11. Outings Committee: Chair Phil Hubbard
    1. 2017-04-29: BIG Little River Paddle Race
Review success: attendees, the race itself, grilling, silent auction, kayak raffle, etc.
    2. 2017-10: Suwannee River Paddle Race
Like BLPR, plus contestant boat markers and locations for prize announcements, upstream and back on the Suwannee River in the fall. Set date, time, and place. Start PR.
    3. An item needing a vote by the Board.
  12. Public Relations Committee: Chair John S. Quarterman
    1. Could use more people doing PR.
    2. An item needing a vote by the Board.
  13. Watershed Issues Committee: Chair John S. Quarterman
    1. Coal ash, wastewater, corporate agriculture, phosphate mines, pipelines, FERC, fracking, and solar power.
    2. An item needing a vote by the Board.
  14. Science Committee: Chair Tom Potter
    1. An item needing discussion by the Board.
    2. An item needing a vote by the Board.
  15. Alapaha River Water Trail Committee: Chair Chris Graham
    1. Let’s finish the water trails. Mostly need resolution of landing names and addresses, and signs (kiosks near the water and on roads). Have interest from several scout troups; need to follow up on that and other leads.
    2. Vote: go ahead and add to funds dedicated and buy and place signs at Sheboggy Landing (US 82) at the upstream end of the ARWT, and at at least one other place on the ARWT.
  16. Withlacoochee and Little River Water Trail Committee: Chair needed
    1. Discussion: See ARWT.
    2. Vote: go ahead and buy and place signs at least two WRWT landings.
  17. Other Business
  18. How busy everybody is
  19. Adjourn
