Credit to Quitman Utilities for reporting quickly that they had spills.

The two spills showed up today in the daily GA-EPD Sewage Spills Report. That’s way faster than Quitman’s typical at least a week late.

The locations and amounts are not reported yet.

If I had to guess, I’d suspect at least one of the spills was at Quitman’s sessling ponds on Highland Avenue, highlighted in this map. That’s right next to Okapilco Creek, which runs into the Withlacoochee River ujpstream of Knights Ferry Boat Ramp.

So Quitman after Hurricane Debby is faster reporting spills than Valdosta, which we already know has had some, but has ot yet reported any.
