Putting in at Troupville Boat Ramp on the Little River would be no problem, kayak or power boat.
But the Withlacoochee River upstream from the Little River Confluence is still a tad high, a week after Hurricane Debby. Langdale Park Boat Ramp is completely underwater, as is much of its access road.
The Suwannee and Santa Fe Rivers remain mostly in flood. The Alapaha River has come back down.

The closest I could get by land to the Little River Confluence was more than a hundred feet away, at the fourth place the river was across the woods access road.

Inside Langdale Park, there’s a pine tree across the road to the boat ramp.

It’s flowing water from there for a couple hundred feet to the boat ramp. The WWALS water trail signs are visible in the distance a bit right of top center in this picture.

At 5PM yesterday, August 13, 2024, the Valdosta Gauge (US 41, North Valdosta Road) read 123.81 feet NAVD88, still in Action Stage.
That’s down a little more than 2 feet in four days. If it continues like that another 4 days, it will read about 121.5 feet on Saturday at 5PM. Which is actually below the WWALS recommendation of 123′ for highest safe. Maybe we need to revisit that recommendation.
Upstream, the Skipper Bridge gauge predicts a similar fall of about 2 feet in four days.

The Little River Hahira Gauge at GA 122 is already in a good range and falling, which matches what is visible at Troupville Boat Ramp.
The NOAA river level map shows much of the Suwannee River still in flood or Action Stage, and almost all of the Santa Fe River. The Alapaha River is getting lower.
