South Georgia Growing Local 2016

The recent posts about Backyard hens, Valdosta City School Gardens, Planting by the moon,

and Essential oils, were from sessions in yesterday’s South Georgia Growing Local 2016 conference about food and community in south Georgia and north Florida. Four WWALS board members participated (Gretchen Quarterman, the conference chair, Chris Mericle, Bret Wagenhorst, and John S. Quarterman). WWALS had a table there, and some people took information and membership forms. Growing food is an outdoor activity, and so is paddling.

Why were those sessions posted on the WWALS blog? Er, I missed my aim. Go over to South Georgia Growing Local 2016 for more information. And if you’re interested in helping follow up with local food community, contact Gretchen, gretchen.quarterman@gmail.com.
