We have a request to clear at least two deadfalls on the Little River that are obstructing passage to a fishing lake.

The deadfalls are about half a mile upstream from Rountree Bridge and Red Roberts Landing.

A lake in this case means a wide area in the river. We hear this one is called Rountree Lake.

This is the second request we’ve gotten for this stretch, after the time somebody tried kayaking from Kinard Bridge Road to Red Roberts Landing and had to call 911 to extract them because of the deadfalls.

You do not have to use a saw. You can pull branches aside, or collect trash, or take pictures.
