Update 2023-07-07: Clean Little and Withlacoochee River 2023-07-06.
Thanks to GA-EPD for clarifying the county, watershed, and location of the June 27, 2023, Quitman sewage spill of 3,000 gallons of raw sewage into a drainage ditch.
Specifically, thanks to Dillon Rodenbaugh of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GA-EPD) for getting these things fixed, after I reported them.
This is what that address looks like in Google streetview.
It’s actually easier to see in Google maps.
Here’s where the spill site is relative to Okapilco Creek.
And that’s all upstream from the Withlacoochee River, and from Knights Ferry Boat Ramp.
A spill that small and that far from Okapilco Creek probably never got into the creek, much less the river. And, as we already reported, WWALS water quality testing for June 29, 2023 found no trace of that spill.

in the WWALS composite spreadsheet of water quality results.
For context and more about the WWALS volunteer water quality testing program, see:
Valdosta has since reported its downstream test results for June 28 and 30, 2023, and those also show no trace of that Quitman spill.
