Update 2022-11-07: It’s Crawford Branch next to Skipper Bridge, Withlacoochee River 2022-11-03.
Just south (downstream) of Skipper Bridge, left (east) bank, Withlacoochee River: what is this creek gushing water during a drought?
Where is all that water coming from? It was really flowing Thursday, after no rain for weeks.

Is this the creek I’ve been calling Ziegler Creek, that comes down across Skipper Bridge Road between Reed Road and Ziegler’s Auto Body Shop? USGS has as it as reach code 03110203000495, with no name. Does anybody know its real name?

Maybe I should go look at the culverts where it crosses Skipper Bridge Road, just south of Reed Road, to see if water is gushing through there.

Zooming in on google maps, it looks like the actual path of the creek goes northwest instead of southwest to reach the river.

It certainly was flowing a gusher Thursday.

I noticed it from the middle of the bridge.

Even there it’s pretty obvious.

So what is this creek? And where is this water gushing from in a drought?
