I think we’ve all been “Half crazy til I hit the water.”

Here’s the video:

This was the First Annual, and we have made many notes for next year, such as triple-check the sound from the lead singer’s microphone, need a follow spot on the singer, let’s place the camera where people are not walking in front of it, oh, and announcers rehearse the finalists’ names.

Hollin Gammage wrote that she is “Performing songwriter from southeast north America will travel.” She that she wrote her song, “Little River,” April 4, 2018, “for this contest about my love for the withalacoochee and all her sister water ways.”

Here are the lyrics:

Sunshine little river Spanish moss hanging off the trees.
One foot dangling in the water, paddle faster just to catch a breeze.
Wish that you could see me now
Half crazy til I hit the water
I wanna get you here somehow
Float away with me
Let me show you peace

Sunshine little river Sandy bottom underneath my feet
Still jumping when the fish are biting. Sneak one in right behind the knees.
Wish that you could see me now
Half crazy running across the water
I wanna get you here somehow
Bring some bait we’ll see
No man I don’t mean me

Sunshine little river floating down the withalacoochee
Wasn’t sure how to get it in there cause nothing rhymes with withalacoochee
Wish that you could see me now
Half crazy sputtering the water
I wanna get you here somehow
Sing along with me
Withalacoochee

Sunshine little river

We will be publishing videos of the rest of the songs and the rest of the contest finals.
