Wondering why Valdosta is having an overflow problem? It was rain on Valdosta, and north of Valdosta.
Not so much northwest on the Little River, nor even west on Okapilco Creek:
Some more came from due north on the Withlacoochee River, but it’s already peaked at Skipper Bridge:
But it sure looks like most of it fell directly on Valdosta:
Downstream you’ll see this surge in a day or two:
The Suwannee River upstream didn’t get much rain over towards Fargo, nor did the Alapaha River, so the Suwannee is able to absorb much of what the Withlacoochee River is sending it, but it’s still going to go up for a week or so:
All these graphs came from water.weather.gov.
