BIG Little River Paddle Race

the Waterkeeper® Alliance Member for the Little River as Suwannee Riverkeeper®TIME: Registration opens 8:00 am and closes at 8:50 a.m. Mass start at 9:30 a.m. Awards @11:30 a.m.
LOCATION: Reed Bingham State Park, Adel, GA. Registration and start at Red Roberts Landing. (take Rountree Bridge/Sparks exit 41 off I-75; turn right on Rountree Bridge Rd in front of Horse Creek Winery and go 4.8 miles to Rountree Bridge, boat ramp on east side). Finish is in Reed Bingham S.P. lake, Colquitt Co. side. A 15 minute shuttle is required to get from the take out to the put in and will be provided.
ENTRY FEE: Pre-registration (before April 1) is $20 per boat plus a $5 park entrance fee per vehicle. Late registration (after April 1) and registration on the day of the event is $30 per boat, plus a $5 park entrance fee per vehicle. Event limited to first 50 boats to register. Canoes or kayaks only; no motors, rowboats or paddleboards allowed. Canoe/kayak rental available at Reed Bingham State Park with advance reservation (separate fee; contact park to arrange). Event will be held rain or shine, but will be delayed or cancelled for severe weather/unsafe conditions. No refunds in case of cancellation.
AMENITIES: Free lunch will be provided at the finish. Overall winner wins $100 cash prize and winners in each category will receive a special award.
THE COURSE: A scenic 3 mile, all downstream stretch of the Little River with winding, flat blackwater and some trees to go around. Alligators, red wasps and/or snakes may be present.
